Support the empowerment of women & children in Nepal - Your dollar matters!

Your dollar goes a long way in Nepal.  Some 80% of Nepalese live on less than US$2.00 per day.

All funds raised by FVIN will be sent directly to Nepal, with no administrative or other fees, except wire transfer costs. 

A donation of $10 can:

  • Provide about 70 bricks toward construction of VIN’s Nepal Children’s Home, an orphanage currently being built by VIN with a projected completion date in 2013. 
  • Pay for communication (SKYPE) for about 6 months for VIN’s networking with supporters

A donation of $50 can:

A donation of $100 can:

  • Provide a partial scholarship for a disadvantaged child’s school supplies for one year
  • Provide a monthly living allowance for local Nepalese youth that volunteer for their community development programs.
  • Buy farming equipment for a women in the Women Cooperative VIN (micro-credit project)

A donation of $250 can:

  • Sponsor a disadvantaged child’s education including uniforms, school supplies and medical support  for a full year
  • Cover two months of a Nurse’s Salary in the Community Health Program

A donation of $400 can:

  • Build a toilet in one of the 500 homes in Jitpur (78 toilets have been completed since project began in 2008)
  • Invest in Women’s empowerment by sponsoring a year of Women’s Group  trainings (9 members in each women’s group)

FVIN is a 501(c)(3) US based non-profit.  All donations are tax deductible.  Our Board of Directors oversees all grants and monies disbursed and all donations are subject to the Board’s discretion. Unless otherwise specified,  the donations will be pooled together and sent to VIN or other Nepalese organizations, who  have applied for a grant, as voted on by FVIN’s Board of Directors.
